This editorial was inspired by the copper, bronze and grey colors that pop out when everything else is covered by white snow. You can see some of these images published in one of my absolute favorite online publications, The Dreamer Journal. It’s exciting to be a contributor to such a beautiful and creative publication. Special thanks to the lovely models… non-identical twins who braved the cold for this quick photo shoot, and my neighbor’s massive Saint Bernard’s who matched the color scheme perfectly!
Obviously someone is a little behind in blog posting (*cough cough*). But look at it this way… at least you have some warm, summery pictures to look at on this cold January day. Totally did that on purpose.
Aspen is one of my four babies. Though she was named after the trees that are everywhere in my home state of Colorado, it fits her artistic and earthy nature… I call her a hippie. That might be why I fell in love with this dress for her photo shoot. I love the way she looks at the world, and her willingness to help any way she can. I love her sun-kissed dimples, and missing teeth at this 6-year-old stage. She, and all the spice that comes with her, is one of my true loves in life.
Remember THIS creative Harley-riding family from last year? I love collaborating with their mom on ideas and clothing. And actually hanging out with them for the shoot is the icing on the cake. They’re a beautiful group inside and out.
I wish I had awesome pictures with my grandparents from when I was little… but let’s face it, most grandparents don’t rock fedoras and Harleys like these two.
