A few more…
Tuesday February 26th 2008
At the end of a photo shoot, this is what we all feel like doing. Hey, Jenni didn’t you say you went and took a nap when you got home? Why didn’t I think to do that!?
I loved going through these pictures! I kept thinking I should do something in black and white just for fun, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it because the colors were so vibrant and beautiful… matched these girls’ personalities. I can’t say enough about how cute their clothes were, and I mean the entire suitcase of clothes! That’s right she’s the first mom to bring a suitcase of clothes and shoes to a photo shoot. Mom doesn’t just dress her girls to the nines… 10 is more like it.

Okay so at the last minute I decided to find one to do in black and white. I love her peaceful concentration in this one.
I’m so impatient!

So I know it seems like you just left my house, Jenni, but since Aspen is sleeping I went straight to editing your photos. When I came across this one I HAD to post it before the rest because I’m in love with it! Your girls are the most darling, photogenic, trendy little dolls EVER! I will have a bunch more to post in the coming days, but just couldn’t help myself here. Sorry to make your wait even harder
.
On a completely different note, I wanted to mention how excited I am about the frame in this picture. I’ve found myself drawn towards an old-timey French influence, and Victorian antiques. I found this with some other goodies at an antiques mall a few weeks back. I can’t wait to use them in more shoots!
Thanks Jean!

Today I met with a couple of friends who are also photographers… VERY talented women! We talked a ton, ate lunch, and of course shot some pictures. These perfect little handsome guys belong to the amazing Jean Smith. It’s always fun for me to explore photography with others who share my obsession. Can’t wait for the next time we get together!

New camera happiness
Saturday February 16th 2008
A friend of mine let me use her GORGEOUS daughters as models so I could get more familiar with my new camera (eh-hem, and there may have been an arrangement that allows me to borrow her also-GORGEOUS antiques for a couple future sessions). I can’t decide how to limit myself to posting just a few. The girls were a dream to photograph, so I just kept shooting. And again, a mention of Erika’s bows and headbands… so perfect for photographs! We’re still working on getting a website up for her, but contact me if you are interested in buying some of these little beauties from her. I can’t say enough about them! My daughter had a pair of bows on tonight that Erika made, and I couldn’t stop gushing over her to my husband… “Isn’t she cute?!”… “Yes honey, she’s cute.” … “I know, but she’s SOOOOO CUTE!” There’s something about bows on pigtails on a two-year-old :).
