This was a beautiful and fun family. I love that they brought their Halloween costumes!
Most sessions in one week ever… stay tuned for the rest next week. Also, the last image in this post is from a head shot session. Anyone else hear the news about Ann Arbor attracting the movie industry? I’ll be adding a head shot and commercial link this winter. For now, contact me about pricing.
That’s right, “whew.” Outings with in-laws, painting the kids’ play room, savoring Fall weather… barely touched my laptop all week(okay that was sort of a lie). I’ll add more from his session, and many more, very soon. Just felt my blog was being neglected while I was off playing.
I just want to give a shout out to the moms. *pause to see Aspen has taped herself with half a roll of Scotch tape*…. What was I saying? Yes, I have thought a lot lately about the people I meet, and the prevailing love I see them show towards their kids. And I talk to other moms who express how rough it is sometimes with very small ones. Many props to my fellow moms in this brief, but difficult time of raising our kids to be people who can be proud of themselves.
I see the “artwork” Aspen has left on the walls, the constant attention she demands, the tantrums… oh the tantrums …
She is almost 2 1/2, and still learning the patience and independence her brothers have. But on the flip side I feel fortunate to be a mom. The responsibility to nurture and teach them is a big deal, and something I treasure. Even though it goes hand in hand with the responsibility to diaper and clean up after them. And so I have been making efforts to soak up the experience and all that it includes.
My camera is my journal, and my substitute for writing as described by Anais Nin … “We write to taste things twice, once in the moment and in retrospect.”
